The story behind every stitch
Freddies Teddies began in Dubai on the 1st October 2014, creating treasured keepsakes from much-loved clothing and giving families a special way to hold on to their memories.
In 2020, I took over the business from its founder, Sarah, after spending eight months working alongside her, learning the designs and getting to know many of the lovely Freddie’s Teddies customers.
Since then, I’ve continued to build on what Sarah created, making each keepsake individually here in Dubai and treating every piece of clothing entrusted to me with the care it deserves.
Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Kelly, the maker behind Freddies Teddies. I’m originally from Scotland and have also called Australia and currently call Dubai home.
My love of sewing started when I was just eight years old, when my mum and grandma introduced me to needlework, and I’ve been creating ever since. Whether it’s sewing, crochet, cross stitch or trying something completely new, I’ve always loved making things with my hands.
For me, creating keepsakes is something very special. I know the clothing I’m trusted with can hold incredibly precious memories, and it’s a privilege to turn those pieces into something that can be treasured for years to come. Every keepsake is completely unique and receives the same care and attention I would want given to something precious of my own.
